01 · About
A Durham company for retail and the systems that run it.
VITAESCRIPT LTD works in retail trade and in computer systems design and related services. We sell through digital and catalogue channels, and we build the software those channels depend on.
Background
The company is registered in the United Kingdom and based at 25 Coupland Way, Stonebridge, Durham, DH1 3SA. The work sits where miscellaneous retail, sporting goods, hobby, books and mail-order houses meet custom computer programming.
Expertise
- E-commerce retail and online store development
- E-commerce platform development and web application development
- Retail software solutions, including inventory and order management
- Customer relationship management and payment gateway integration
- Mobile commerce solutions and marketplace platform development
- IT consulting services and computer related services
Approach
We specify software from the retail job: what is listed, what is held, what is paid for, and what leaves the building. Custom programming is used when a packaged storefront would split those records. Packaged tools are used when they already hold together.
Working principles
- 01 — Stock is the source of truth, not the product page.
- 02 — Orders must be readable by dispatch, finance and the customer.
- 03 — Payments fail in public; handling them is part of the build.
- 04 — Catalogue, web and warehouse are one operation or they are three problems.
Business context
We work with retailers and operators across the United Kingdom who need digital commerce solutions without separating the shop from the store. Enquiries: office@vitaescript.work or +44 7478 112233.
